Entrepreneurship Education for Jewish Teens

Let's help future generations develop an entrepreneurial mindset and work towards Tikkun Olam, repairing the world.
While Startup Experience has traditionally worked with leading universities and colleges, in 2017 we launched a partnership with the Baltimore JCC and 4Front to develop a social entrepreneurship program for Jewish teens. Since that time, we have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of amazing teens, teachers and community organizers on experiential social entrepreneurship programs that merge elements of business, Jewish values and societal needs. We are now seeking additional partnerships with Jewish schools and community organizations, so if you're interested in introducing Social Entrepreneurship to your students, please reach out.

Program Examples

Social Innovation Fellowship

The 12-week Social Innovation Fellowship is a hands-on social entrepreneurship program that inspires and empowers Jewish teens to be change-makers in their community.

The program includes a kick-off innovation boot camp, business building workshops, mentoring sessions with local business leaders, and opportunities to engage with entrepreneurs in Baltimore and abroad. The program culminates with our annual Demo Day event, where the teams pitch their ideas for a better Baltimore.

Teacher Training
and Courses

In partnership with The Jewish Teen Education & Engagement Funder Collaborative we are developing a new social entrepreneurship curriculum for Jewish teens. The curriculum will be available to both Jewish schools and community organizations who'd like to teach entrepreneurship.

We're also working with Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School to run a teacher training seminar, a 2-day workshops for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, and two semester-long courses on entrepreneurship.

Social Innovation Hackathon

During the pandemic we facilitated an action packed 3-hour virtual Social Innovation Hackathon focused on developing innovating solutions to some of the UN Sustainable Developing Goals.

The hackathon was organized in partnership with the Funder Collaborative and other Jewish organizations across the country. The event was super fun and we were blown away by the many creative ideas that were developed.

BBYO IC Summit

We're super excited to be working with BBYO to co-create and facilitate an amazing 2-day summit for approximately 1000 Jewish teens in Baltimore on February 16-17 2022.

Startup Experience will run a series of experiential entrepreneurship tracks that challenge the teens to work together to solve a big social problem.

We're bringing a group of experienced entrepreneurs from different industries who will share their expertise and mentor the BBYO innovators on how to launch their projects.
